With the Poli family, what we have first and foremost is a tale of botherhood. It all started in Guagno, several decades ago, with the two Poli brothers, the father and uncle of André Poli.

“My father and my uncle each had their own livestock, my father kept goats and my uncle kept pigs. But they always helped each other out when needed”, explained André, who continued: “My brother and I learned to make charcuterie with them, especially with my uncle, who was in charge of the pig farm.”

André Poli’s first inclination was in fact to go into farming, but his studies took him into administration while his brother went into the automobile sector. But family traditions often die hard, especially when they are built upon a common passion; André therefore decided to bridge the gap by creating, as a secondary business, his pig and cattle farm above the Gulf of Tiuccia, in the little village of Sant’Andrea d’Orcino. He had the assistance of his brother Pierre-Toussaint who was following the same path, and was also preparing to set himself up as a farmer. The two brothers therefore followed the route marked out before them by their father and their uncle, sharing an inherited desire to share and to meet the demands of a job well done.
