Behind a kindly smile and apparent calmness, Jean-Luc Albertini is a fighter. In his former military career, his political activism, and now, in saving his village and ancestral knowledge, Jean-Luc has always acted with the same conviction and zeal.

Faithfully supported by Virginie, his wife, he strives, via his work to keep his activity in the village. "Here, work is not lacking for those who want to take advantage of the resources!” he says somewhat resignedly. "One must simply accept the constraints of rural life”, he continues.

He and Virginie did not spend long making the decision, and on the day they decided to move back to the village, they determinedly grasped their destiny with both hands. For this, they took a gamble on diversification with chestnut cultivation, goat farming and market gardening.

"This diversity in our activities is essential to our survival and in the end it's turned out quite well! It allows us to avoid routine and apathy”, he concludes philosophically.
