Here, between Vico and Lake Crenu, where the mountain dips, 600 metres above sea level, Dominique Corieras enthusiastically welcomes visitors to the picturesque setting of his establishment – Donkeys rides and transport in Stalla - full day hire.

You can explore this magnificent region as you ride on one of Dominique’s horses or donkeys, safely and peacefully, travelling through some of the most unspoilt areas and breathing in the heady scents of the scrub. You can hire donkeys for rides and transport for a day, week or a month. Orso, the sturdiest donkey, can carry up to 150kg! Anything can be arranged on request, such as overnight accommodation, or being guided by a shepherd.

Dominique is friendly and respects the environment. He’ll be very happy to provide you with advice on the best trails to follow and how to look after the donkeys. You can ride alone or in a group, off the beaten track or along well-trodden paths, and the conditions are ideal for both children and adults.  

Dominique also spends the year enthusiastically tending to the family chestnut grove, at the heart of which sits a pretty dry stone drying shed. The work is at its most intense between October and December but is rewarded with deliciously sweet chestnut flour, which has earned the “agriculture biologique” (“certified organic”) and “appellation d'origine protégée” (“protected designation of origin”) seals of approval.
