“Talking to plants? I’ve got nothing against it, but personally I prefer listening to them!”
Stéphane Rogliano certainly does not lack humour, a humour that is capable of being both light and extremely sharp. This distinguished botanist not only produces plants for the garden (born and bred in Corsica), he’s also a wild plant “multiplier”.
Yes, that's right: he encourages growth of endogenous and endemic plants from the shrub! More than twenty years ago, Stéphane decided to tame this very special flora.

“In England, a term summarises what I do very well indeed: ‘Nursery Plants.’ That’s exactly it! I take care of babies, ensuring that they can grow up in the best possible conditions.”
Vagaries are plentiful with Mother Nature! “The learning process is very random, there’s a countless number of parameters that interfere with the development of their growth. Here lies the magic of life: constant uncertainty and perhaps the immense pleasure of seeing them grow!”
Stéphane shares this passion with us during aromatic walks amongst the island's vegetation. Our mountain guide’s projects are numerous, next: the birth of a botanical garden, with numerous natural scents, where it will also be possible to learn how to cultivate these wild plants.

Happiness is right there for the taking!
