This is, no doubt, one of the most surprising career changes of the Route des Sens Authentiques, but at the same time, it is one of the most interesting.
It's hard to believe that, not very long ago, Magali Ori Sayag, the pretty pig farmer from Corté, was an itinerant hairdresser. How can such a radical life change be explained? Let Magali explain!: “I was a hairdresser for years, but suddenly felt a desire to change direction. With my husband Stéphane, we had already made charcuterie for ourselves and our friends, but gradually the idea of making it my main job grew. Therefore I began an agricultural course while my husband taught me the golden rules for producing quality cold meats.” Although Magali’s farm operation is still new, the young woman wanted to set the bar high when choosing her livestock and also in the manufacturing process of her charcuterie.
“When you decide on such a career change, it is not to fool yourself, but to find happiness and to create a quality product, otherwise it’s just not worth it”, Magali stresses. Seeing the customers’ enthusiasm and the order book filling up, it seems that Magali’s new life has begun with the best possible prospects!
