Ange-Xavier farmed as a young boy alongside his father and uncles before continuing the family tradition in his native Cruzini. His career was never really a point in question, therefore, as he seamlessly followed in the footsteps of his forefathers, perpetuating his family’s legacy and bolstering the agricultural life of the village.

As with Ange-Xavier Poli, the agricultural fibre runs deep within the few inhabitants of Rosazia, both temporary and permanent, as if uniting them by a time honoured collective ideology. Family and friends are all ready to lend a hand during the butchering season. Watching them, you gain a true sense of their farming heritage, passed endlessly down through the generations. Everyone knows their role - Ange-Xavier included!

However, it requires a lucid, modern farmer, able to adapt and diversify his profession, in order to prosper here. During the winter he is largely occupied with goat rearing, but the relocation of his livestock in the summer months provide him the opportunity to focus on his small riverside inn, while his wife, Marie-Pierre, also helps him out with sales in Vico.

Does Xavier ever worry that his family might tire of farming? Not really, his brother shares the same passion for the earth and his youngest son, Ghjulianu, seems to have a clear vision of his future in the village. Good blood runs true!
