Christiane and Jean have dedicated their lives to the Cuticciu d’Aghjone estate. Almond trees, vines and persimmons are spread over almost eleven hectares of land. In 2011, Christiane passed the torch to her daughter, Florence.

For this former contemporary dancer, who is now also an independent artistic director, preserving this work is essential. “It is an emotional process first and foremost. How could I not want to save this land of my birth? The sweet cradle of my childhood?!” she says with emotion. Since then, Florence has worked to maintain the cultivation of the persimmon, the Fuyu, this little-known fruit native to Japan and China, with a sweet taste and crunchy texture. A perfectionist with an eye for detail, the farmer-cum-artist strives for excellence and authenticity in her produce.

“These country roots are my sources of inspiration. They are viscerally linked to Mother Earth, this Corsican land. I particularly like surrounding myself with skilled craftsmen. The freedom, born from this sharing, is an artistic vision that I breathe into each of my activities. With this sort of philosophy, we have no doubt that Florence Rollin’s future projects will come to fruition!
