As a child, Jean-Pascal would always walk on the A Petraghjola cultivated land with his father. “The mill always existed on this estate. It’s the symbol of a passion shared with my ancestors,” says the former teacher. Jean-Pascal chose teaching, as his father did, but in 2006 he took a different turn.
“The time to take the plunge and devote myself fully to the farm had come. So for three years now I’ve been a young farmer! ” jokes the young farmer.
Now, diligently assisted by his son, Jean-Jo, a dynamic and jovial lad whose dream is to have an agricultural education, the master of this realm is in charge of ten hectares of olive grove, with another ten hectares of almond trees. “Almonds were naturally present here. My father and uncle decided to expand the plantation in 1973”, he adds. “I have, in turn, helped preserve and develop this heritage. ” But for two years now, Jean-Pascal has been heading another activity on the property: market gardening, to add a new string to his bow, in addition to the Gold Medal at the 2011 International Agricultural Show!
