~~Emmanuelle Fondacci’s small market garden, nestled in Balagne, celebrates its sixth birthday and its direct selling to the farm in 2017.
 Along with her husband, Paul, who comes from a family of shepherds, Emmanuelle patiently conceives and builds her establishment. “The initial idea for the garden came to us spontaneously.
 Combining vegetable cultivation and an olive grove, owned by my in-laws, seemed natural and complementary,” says the young farmer.

 All the more so because the organic certification was a no-brainer for the two plantations. “It’s vital to work according to the rhythm of nature. Our ancestors have always worked this way with our century-old olive trees. Mother Nature is the only one in charge!” she jokes.

Emmanuelle therefore does her best to respect the environment and the rhythm of the seasons, although she confesses to having a soft spot for the stage of transplanting the seedlings and the first harvests.

The Fondaccis have no shortage of projects: soon, the orchard will be home to lemon, grapefruit and orange trees.
In the meantime, Emmanuelle’s products and her smile can be found at the markets of Balagne!
