Christopher Ferrandis studied viticulture and oenology in Marseilles, his hometown. When he graduated in 1998, he had only one desire - almost an obsession: produce wine. He had no idea at the time that he would one day own his own vineyard. Emotionally attached to Corsica, where some of his family lives, he vaguely dreamt of moving there...
In 1999 came the first signs from destiny. His uncle offered him a job in a wine cooperative. He accepted and quickly understood that he would leave this land no more.
2001 saw a second stroke of good look. He was given the opportunity to purchase five acres of old vines. He snatched it up and got down to work. "This is my Garden of Eden, a lime garden, perfect for Niellucciu." "Unconsciously passionate," as he calls himself, Christophe began to give shape to his dream. "What makes me happy is this alchemy between the land that lives, produces, and the human management of the cellar."
In 2010 there was yet another sign but of a negative nature this time. Christophe had decided to go organic, but the weather destroyed a large part of his harvest. Where others would have given up, he decided to revise his product range, worked even harder, aimed to develop further, to better master his art in order to rise above the challenges and produce wines with his personal stamp. "I'll tell you something about myself. This is my credo: to improve the harvest each year. Until my last harvest. And that one will be my best ever."
Now do you honestly think that Christopher believes in luck?
