Saparale, also known as the pioneering spirit! The history of this domain can be summed up in this way, as successive owners have demonstrated a visionary spirit. It all began in the 19th century with Philippe de Rocca Serra who, on returning from Africa, undertook an epic project on his property in the Ortolo Valley, planting 100 hectares of vines, olive groves, citrus and fruit trees, constructing a winery and outbuildings to house the tools of the trade.
Over one hundred workers arrived each day from neighbouring villages to work on the vines. Saparale wines acquired international renown. However, at the end of the 1920s, the domain was in gradual decline. It was not until 1998, with the arrival of Philippe Farinelli, that Saparale was resurrected. With his wife Julie, he undertook the restoration, not only of the vineyard but also of all the outbuildings, converted into sublime accommodation.
In this verdant setting, far from the coastal wind, time seems suspended and you will feel more like a guest than a client. Philippe and Julie have done everything possible so that their visitors, both to the winery and in the accommodation, feel at home and experience the fullness of pleasure for all their senses...
