Classic real-life family sagas full of intrigue and drama are not exclusively confined to the cinema screen: since1850, the Leccia Oletta Poggio family have forged astounding expertise which has given birth to some truly exceptiona. From a distant line of winemakers, Yves Leccia perpetuates this prestigious past and, in turn, wears the PDO Patrimonio colours with pride.

Naturally, he successfully underwent his studies in Oenology at Montpellier. His career as a winemaker then began in the early eighties when he started working with his father in the family business, which he left in 2005 to set up his own estate on the magnificent E Croce and Partinelone land. Together with his wife, Sandrine, they make wine in harmony with the land.  In September, their vines are adorned with beautiful, dark golden fruit. The grapes are all harvested completely by hand. Only grapes that are perfectly ripe are picked. The magic then happens in the stainless steel heat-regulated fermentation cellar, where the grape juice is fermented.

His extensive range of grape varieties, Vermentinu, Niellucciu, Grenache, Minustellu, petit grain Muscat, Sciacarellu and Biancu Gentile together make up his expansive and beautiful terrain: "It's a question of nuance. If I can determine whether it's a Vermentinu or Niellucciu de Patrimonio, then, my work is done!" His relentless quest for the highest standards clearly pays off both in with the reviews in the specialist press as well as with important sommeliers as his wine is unanimously deemed to be a trimuphantsuccess.
