At first, Yves Buresi chose a medical career and could have got a few jabs under his belt. But things don’t always go as we plan, and he ended up on a path with a bit more buzz, and he himself suffered a different kind of jab… The sting of bees! Bees with which he’s now co-existed for over 30 years. At the very least one could say he caught on quick;

"I was one of the pioneers of professional beekeeping in Corsica, where, along with others, I took part in the structuring of an entire sector”, explains the beekeeper. “I made the choice to live life in communion with nature, and I try to keep up with its pace. The farm is located in the heart of the prehistoric site of Basi, a famous Corsican archaeological site, and it provides honey with a taste that certainly hasn’t changed for millennia.

It fascinates me to think that our ancestors could have been tasting the same product I’m harvesting now”, he says cheerfully.Here, each season has always brought its share of honey flavours, the quintessence of which Yves Buresi has dedicated himself to extracting for more than three decades.
