The super-active Marie-Noëlle Culioli is engaged on all fronts: in her role as a mother, at the U Francolu cheese-making workshop surrounded by her 160 ewes, and finally as President of Young Corsican Farmers (Jeunes Agriculteurs Corses) – and these are but a few of a much longer list!
By the end of her studies in animal production and accounting, Marie-Noëlle pushed towards eventually committing to a full installation. “My studies were focused on farming. When I became pregnant, I decided to become a farm manager!” She was following the example of her parents, Ange-Noël and Maryline, her maternal grandparents who owned a large herd of pigs, and her paternal grandparents who kept themselves busy with all kinds of animals. “I have always lived in this natural environment, surrounded by cows, goats and sheep. My parents ceased their respective activities in 1983 to become breeders. They are still not quite retired!” With their support, Marie-Noëlle refined her Brocciu cheese production; the student has become the master! “My father is a man of conviction with strong values. Like him, I know that ancestral skills will live on in young farmers!” Marie-Noëlle is committed and convinced that the leading economic force for Corsica is agriculture. We’ll gladly follow her on this path, carried along by her infectious energy!
