After tinkering with car engines for more than thirty years, Michel Matteucci chose to swap pistons for prisutti! These were the reasons for such a major change: “I had a garage which was going well and I employed around fifteen people, but after 30 years in the profession I felt the need for a change and to be making a living from something more in line with my aspirations.

When I was making this change, I had the good fortune to meet a pig farmer from Soccia who had invaluable experience and was generous enough to share it with me. All the expertise I have now came from him!” Looking at Michel Matteucci flourishing today among his animals, you see a man who is happy and fulfilled. “You know, even if the work is not always easy, I don’t feel that I’m working but rather that I’m living my dream. This new life has brought me total happiness! Every season of the year brings a specific job in this profession and the three months of charcuterie production are intense, but when you’re the one who has chosen it, this life in the open is really enjoyable.” Can you imagine a more successful pre-retirement?
