Anthony Domestici is part of this new generation of farmers who have truly pursued their professional path through choice and conviction and not simply because they feel the need to continue a family legacy.

“I was working as a sales rep in Ajaccio selling kitchens. I was enjoying life but I gradually began to feel the desire to take a new path,” explains the young man. This new path instinctively led him back to his village of Piano in the heart of Casinca. “I needed to return to my roots, to the family home. Pig farming was not an obvious choice as nobody around me practised it.”

Motivated by the thought of a challenge, Anthony learnt from the village elders and friends of his who were livestock farmers. “There’s a fantastic collective energy here and farmers are always willing to help one another. A former butcher/pork butcher helps me with manufacturing and his expertise and advice has been invaluable.” Having tasted Anthony Domestici’s high-quality charcuterie, we can safely say that this young farmer learns quickly and effectively. A career and lifestyle change that has been a great success!
