As a teenager, Sébastien Nouveau had already begun assisting his parents in Zilia and learning the skills of a market gardener. But in the end the young man decided on a different path.
“I focused on the twelve cows my parents had. I set myself up as a livestock farmer in 2007 and acquired some other animals,” says Sébastien.
And now there are 50 cows, 200 sheep, and 180 lambs grazing the 220 hectare farm!

It was in 2011 that the opportunity to revive the former butcher's shop located in the heart of Calenzana came to him. “This establishment is essential to village life, and it had been closed for two years. My cutting room was already up and running, and Gaëlle my wife was ready to help me. So we embarked on the adventure!” he concludes.
A year later, both the farmer/butcher’s new and current premises opened to the public!

Sébastien openly admits being wholly satisfied by his work; always close to customers and devoted to the well-being of his animals.

He’s also delighted to see that the business seems set to endure thanks to his young children Alexandre and Charlotte!
