In the Casamarta family from Guitera, I ask for the "son" or the "brother" or more simply Paul!
It must be said that an agricultural thread travels through the generations and siblings in the Casamarta family. So, Paul became the shepherd of the family and now works next door to his father's pig farm and his brother's farm-inn on the family farm. "I always wanted to be a shepherd, but I first started and still continue to work as a butcher with my father in the village cooperative" explains the young shepherd. But the urge to raise his goats was too strong. Paul thus went through the various stages of getting set up as a farmer with a firm resolve and is now at the head of a herd numbering one hundred, a brand new sheepfold and cheese factory!
"When I decided to get established, I wanted to have a working tool that was not hard on my goats but that was efficient so that I could make my cheese and receive customers in good conditions" confides the shepherd. Today, Paul's cheese naturally finds its place not just on the table of his brother's farm-inn next door, but also at the best addresses in the region. Seeing him roaming the green hillsides overlooking the Taravu Valley with his goats, one can believe that Paul Casamarta definitely found his place and vocation.
