If you ever happen to be passing through Rosazia between 6 in the morning and 9 at night, you may well catch sight of an energetic young man in his early thirties either driving his pig herd through the chestnut forest, or maybe driving a truckload of stacked wood around or even driving the backhoe loader for his small construction business.
So, who is Nicolas Capodimaci? Pig breeder, lumberjack or construction worker?
The simple answer being that he’s completely passionate about the region in which he lives, and endeavours to make an honest living off his own back.
His life as an Ajaccio coffee machine salesman, now just a distant memory, forms a parenthesis in which he temporarily deviated from his childhood dream of living in his own village! It was in fact his wife's village from which he chose to run his business in the end. However, the essential features – the valleys and hillsides of the Cruzini – are still prevalent.
Nicolas realises his dream every day, living off his own land, by his own hand. This man loves to work; he does nothing by half and applies himself equally to defending a charcuterie CDO appellation as he would to promoting the exclusive reintroduction of authentic Porcu nustrale, or the management and control of Corsica's forests.
