Charles Sforzini has always dreamed of sharing the fruit of his efforts.

He comes from a family of farmers and worked on his family’s land, situated on Corsica’s eastern lowlands, from a very young age. A greenhouse horticulturalist, Charles decided to start growing hazel trees that are very important to him. In 1980, he acquired land in Cervione - a region that has become famous for its hazelnuts. Charles was well aware that a simple method of production would not be enough.

“In order to live the dream, you need to innovate, invent and share your achievements. It was the ideal opportunity!” In 2002, after completing a number of training courses, Charles established the Atelier de la Noisette in San Giuliano. “It was an essential step to take at the time. Today, it’s a pleasure to be able to share the end-result of our work.” And there’s a lot to share!  Hazelnut aficionados can choose from a range of ten products – some are 100% processed – and an energy bar will soon be available!

“We are very proud, for example, of our hazelnut oil. It took a lot of time and careful work to develop, and involved building an oil mill. Now, it’s a great success!” Nucciola, a hazelnut spread, which has been enjoyed by children and adults alike for the past four years, has also proved a great success. “It’s been a new experience for us because we had to use all our know-how and also let people know about it. What an adventure!”

Fortunately for us, we managed to pull it off!
