Coming from a long line of winegrowers, Jean-Georges and Mireille Marcadal continued their parents' agricultural adventure. However, when the baton was finally passed, they decided to go with a different crop: the clementine. “My wife and I felt that winegrowing had reached an impasse at the time. We decided to focus on something else. We then had to clear hectares of scrubland and plant our first trees,” explains Jean-Georges Marcadal.

The rest is evident: the Corsican clementine already has quite a reputation, and the producers who worked to establish this reputation have definitely reaped the benefits! The Sole d’Oru estate now counts over 50 hectares and it is guaranteed to stay within the Marcadal family. While Anthony, the youngest, was quick to follow in his father's footsteps, Vincent, the eldest, preferred to gain some experience elsewhere before returning to make use of this experience and contribute to the estate’s development.

So now the family is all set to calmly oversee the future of their business!
