Upon entering the charming little farmhouse inn of the Vaccia pass, it is hard to believe that Antoine-Dominique Buresi lived here with his parents during the transhumant periods. ”The building was in an awful state, it was really more of a shelter than a home”, he recalls before continuing: “Even though the living conditions were basic, I saw the potential in this place very early on. Even then there were lots of people passing by. "

So, little by little, Antoine-Dominique started to sell products from the farm to passing tourists up until the day that the owners of the building decided to sell it. He didn’t hesitate a single second but bought it and put all of his strength and energy into restoring it. After seven years of work, the Auberge du Col de la Vaccia was able to receive and host its first guests. Now, Antoine-Dominique welcomes his guests and is happy to show them the products from his farm.

“Here, almost everything is ‘home-grown’: vegetables from the garden, the charcuterie, the meat… and the cheese all comes from the neighbouring farm. "A fine place that clearly has no problems with “traceability”!
