Felce, a small village in Castagniccia, eight hundred metres high... Who would have thought this was an ideal place for growing raspberries? Patrice Bouret did, and with the obstinacy of certainty, he set himself the challenge of working the long-abandoned terraces once more, reclaiming the land that is so dear to him.

Since then, pears, figs, strawberries, cherries, blackcurrants... and raspberries, of course, have been growing there, before being poured into his copper cauldrons to make family recipes… yummy! Delicious jam; a range of 25 traditional syrups, with typically Corsican flavours, both delicate and pronounced: myrtle, citron, clementine, Nepita; and four real vinegars: citron, fig, myrtle and raspberry which are macerated for three months in cider vinegar.

The impeccable quality, original aromas and robust flavours have seen his products appear in over 100 Corsican shops or delicatessens. They are taken abroad, or remain in the kitchens of the island’s best restaurants, to add flavour to recipes that encapsulate the essence of Corsica...

All products are natural and free from any additives or preservatives, the fruits of Alesani are grown and harvested naturally without chemical fertilizers or synthetic pesticides.

And because innovation has its place too, the Alesani Gardens have two more surprises in store: a whisky-infused Corsican walnut and fig jam… and a "Saffron Delight" syrup!
